Average rejection rate for the Malta Permanent Residency Programme is 50%: Destination Europe’s is 5%

A company that sells passports and residence schemes is only fronted by an ex-Prime Minister and run by a host of Labour Party officials to extract maximum bureaucratic efficiency for its applications. In other words, it needs the highest number of approval rates and this is gained unfairly via corrupt means at the expense of legitimate players in the market owing to its political connections.

In fact, Delsk’s investment in Joseph Muscat’s criminal clique is paying off really well given that Destination Europe’s application rejection rates by the Malta Residency Agency Approvals Board is just 5%. The average rejection rate for other companies filing the same kind of applications is 50%. In one year alone Delsk had up to 800 applications and has hundreds of applications for the Malta Permanent Residency Programme every year.

Two Labour Party MEP candidates, Daniel Attard and Marija Sara Vella Gafa sit on the board of the Malta Residency Agency and by default are responsible for this situation. While Daniel Attard’s campaign has been endorsed by Michelle Muscat, Charlon Gouder, who is Joseph Muscat’s lawyer, is also the agent of Destination Europe and hence the signatory to the applications submitted to the Malta Residency Agency. Daniel Attard as a board member at the Malta Residency Agency doesn’t actually approve the applications. The board that approves or rejects applications is the Approvals Board which is currently chaired by previous General Workers’ Union activist Cory Greenland. Its members are Ruth Micallef, John Valenzia and the Chairman of the Agency, Roderick Spiteri.

It’s as if the Labour Party concocted the residence and passport schemes as an industry for themselves. A company of this kind that is fronted and run fully by PEPs should have long raised serious red flags for the authorities, but it’s all well and good for the Police who are busier monitoring what people say on Facebook.

  1. What a disgrace!!!!!!!! How can we trust the labour government.. a two weights two measures approach by the residency malta agency. 5% rejection only when Delsk is not even knowledgeable about immigration. it is their agents in china that complete the applications and gouder signs. There are no levels of integrity and rma reputation is seriously jeopardised… agents are not afforded fair competition and should stop promoting and selling this scheme as a sign of protest against favouritism. There should be independent private professionals on this board and not labour cronies … No matter what you bring up Mark, no one is going to move a finger.. Delsk will remain there with their license approved even without a financial auditor… The current board directors will remain there….they will continue to receive approved applications unlike the other list of agents …

  2. I give this blog post a 9/10. 10/10 without the “as if” at the end. Then again, in 2013 PN’s issue with the scheme was that the price tag was too low, not that nationality shouldn’t be for sale at all. Probably had illusions back then, that they could get back to the troughs anytime soon. Meanwhile, you can ask the common people in the street, and the large majority knows very well that selling passports is wrong.
