How does one go from being a socialist to becoming a passport salesman?

He is an old-timer and trusted functionary of the Labour Party with deep roots and history. His son, Mark Vella Bonnici is the Party’s international secretary. You can see his company footprint here with a company with Mario Philip Azzopardi and even fronting iNewsMalta, the pro-Labour propaganda site.

Today, he sells passports and residence schemes to rich Asians for Destination Europe which is involved in fraud and a Labour-Party get-rich scheme. I doubt if he is still involved in the Labour Party as he used to be, making his later life-arc even more damning and degenerate. They went from being socialists to literally selling their own nation.
