In an unusual move, Arthur Azzopardi renounces legal brief of Pierre Sladden in Court

Arthur Azzopardi

It is extremely rare if ever that lawyers openly and publicly, in Court, speak or announce of their grievances with their own clients. However, yesterday, Arthur Azzopardi openly renounced his legal representation of Pierre Sladden during an ongoing court session.

I think I suspect correctly what happened here. Having both been part of the same Masonic Lodge, Ray Sladden probably expected Arthur Azzopardi to provide him with free legal services, only for Arthur Azzopardi to realise this quite late. He probably renounced the brief in public to show that he was insulted by the insinuation.

In any case, I hope they keep fighting between each other, because apart from being a net positive to the nation, it also provides for great entertainment.
