In just another ordinary day in the justice system, another piece of evidence was lost from the court’s evidence room last week. Since Keith Schembri’s phone was being moved around without the necessary written permissions, a newly appointed custodian of the court’s evidence room has been appointed. Jessica Tanti, a very keen Labour Party supporter, supposedly can be trusted to do her job without fear or favour.
Opposition MP Karol Aquilina is calling for the resignation of Justice Minister Jonathan Attard and the formation of a Parliamentary Committee to investigate the situation regarding the court’s evidence room. The Minister of Justice has appointed a board of his own to “investigate” the situation.
Seems that Jessica Tanti, the new custodian of the evidence room is either lacking in security experience or ….
