Robert Vella, the CEO of LANDS and corrupt associate of Kurt Buhagiar, is doing everything he can to secure any last possible bribe from his work before his tenure expires in February. Meanwhile, he is also trying to supposedly preserve his job by acting tough and bullying his employees.
More specifically, he is trying to extract a bribe from Joseph Portelli by going through his public land leases and finding issues by which he can make his irregular request.
There are plans by the OPM to remove him so as to remove any semblance or doubt about any corruption conducted by Robert Abela, however, Robert Vella is not happy about this, especially since he was of the impression that he was Robert Abela’s friend.

Do nor forget the current ongoing charade involving Paul Attard of GAP and that extensive stretch of land owned by Enemalta at qajjenza B’bugia. I believe this is going to be a repeat of the taking over of the other extensive government piece of open land in Mellieha. Same people same formula. Labour is no longer certain of another electoral victory so the feeding frenzy will continue to intensify. Stay tuned.
Robert Vella was implanted at Lands Authority on direct instructions by Robert Abela!
In turn, Vella engaged Kurt Buhagiar as his driver (sic). Buhagiar being one of the developers running the government site where Jean Paul Sofia died.
Robert Abela denied he was ever involved with Kurt Buhagiar, but this is not what various and multiple sources claim given that it is alleged that Robert Abela had once rented one of his boats to Kurt Buhagiar.
Hopefully the public inquiry will try to unravel how the government provided a piece of land to a shady group of criminals, who are connected with the LANDS CEO, Robert Vella. This is a case of government corruption and it is being concealed and covered by the Prime Minister himself.
Abela has really messed it up and he knows it.
