Too many witnesses say the same thing on Magistrate Donatella Frendo Dimech

Magistrate Donatella Frendo Dimech

When I reported that Magistrate Donatella Frendo Dimech dined with oil smuggler Darren Debono last December I omitted an important guest, intentionally, and my omission allowed me to understand the story even further. I have spoken to other people since then who have seen Magistrate in other places as well.

First of all, it is interesting to point out that Joe Giglio has lied to me about his conversations with the Magistrate. I called Joe Giglio and I asked him whether he has ever spoken to the Magistrate outside of her courtroom. He flatly denied this accusation. Since then I could confirm thanks to several witnesses that Joe Giglio was seen speaking to the Magistrate outside of her courtroom.

Secondly, the person omitted from my story who also dined with Magistrate Donatella Frendo Dimech is Konrad Mizzi whose lawyer was also the host, Jean Paul Sammut. The Magistrate knew in advance that Konrad Mizzi was going to be present for the dinner, but wasn’t aware that Darren Debono was going to be present. On this matter the Magistrate was caught off guard, yet kept playing along with the other guests so as not to ruin the atmosphere. Darren Debono and Konrad Mizzi have a criminal and corrupt connection which you may read about in A Rent Seeker’s Paradise.

Jean Paul Sammut denied these accusations at length with a story about his unavailability in December due to health problems.

Since then I have also learned that the Magistrate has expressed her wishes to the Police that she doesn’t look forward to seeing Konrad Mizzi arraigned in her court. She didn’t express this explicitly but the message was very clear. The Magistrate was also seen dining in Gozo with George Fenech “il-Playboy” from whom she bought a property. She was seen in very high spirits when meeting him hugging and kissing him in the cheeks as if he was a close friend. The police have investigated George Fenech over allegations of money laundering (he is also suspected of drug trafficking) however were reluctant to continue their investigations when they found his personal correspondence with the Magistrate. George Fenech is also a canvasser of Gozo Minister Clint Camilleri.

There is a group of lawyers who find these allegations hard to believe.

This is what’s happening. The Magistrate has a bipolar personality whereas she is very affected by mood swings and is capable of acting in a very correct manner when she is in the appropriate mood, but at times acts in the completely opposite way.

The Magistrate is also severely deprived of social life and is repeatedly seen trying to socialise and build connections, so at times engages in very flamboyant and inappropriate comments whilst seeking to socialise with particular men. Apart from holding conversations with lawyers out of court, she has also recently been seen having a conversation with a young politician from PN in Valletta. Given that Malta has a rule of law crisis, the Magistrate also understands that she is in a very important position and she is using her position to socialise. In reality, she may not desire wealth, she may actually prefer status and company and the power that comes from having extended networks, still, her behaviour is a recipe for corruption.

Criminals have by now understood her personality and are seeking to take advantage of her. This is also why Robert Abela had the confidence to build a relationship with her and hold conversations with her on Whatsapp until he trashed her in public.

I stand by my story and I would not publish something like this easily. I have long been thinking about it and making confirmations. I find this story very worrying. I would very much like to be proven wrong on my accusations, honestly. No one is comfortable having to write stories about the judiciary when we have to face them in court, and, honestly, I don’t think there has been a story which has made me feel more uncomfortable than this. Yet, not telling this story would also be irresponsible of me given that I know it and I know very well it’s true.
