This is why I was writing that tax collection needs wide administrative and human resources reform before making it more efficient with automated software. Robert Abela’s administration is so incompetent that it can’t even do a gimmick right.
Tax refunds should be given by the tax collector, digitally to your bank account or at best reduce from your tax estimate. Sending them by post is a stupid gimmick just to emphasize that Robert Abela is giving us €100.
In any case. I’m not currently physically present in Malta so I can’t cash the cheque myself, so if there are any charities that are cashing the cheques please post the address below and I’ll forward it to you by post.
