“Iddejjaqt u xbajt” – When Labour’s Minister of Finance, Ġużè Abela resigned

Ġużè Abela was Labour’s Minister of Finance until in June 1979 he resigned from his office and altogether from parliament with a resignation letter saying he was “tired and fed up”.  Interestingly, he was also appointed chair of Labour’s Committee for Discipline in 1988 which was meant to purge the party of its criminals. There is also an interesting biography about him here on Facebook.
