So, on Friday, instead of meeting with the local business community, Robert Abela was recording a propaganda broadcast on ONE where he accused the Opposition of provocation. He doubled down on his defense of Steward and the fraudulent public hospitals deal and then switched to a legal diatribe about scandals of more than twenty years ago.
By now, the characteristics of his premiership fit exactly into the stereotype of a dictatorial gangster. He’s in his bunker recording propaganda broadcasts about fraudulent and criminal deals on the sale of public hospitals while the President of the European Parliament is making speeches to the local business community about economics in today’s geopolitical scenario. The contrast is incredible. You would have thought that after Joseph Muscat, the Labour Party would have wanted to elect as its leader someone who would restore its reputation.
Instead, the Labour Party chose this clown.
