Recently, a small study by Dylan Żammit showing the reactions of people on social media to press articles and news gave a startling relevation: there is plenty of dissatisfaction in Malta. People are complaining even about news items posted by the Labour Party’s propaganda arm, ONE. One should also note that “posts’ reactions” are not necessarily approvals of the content if they are mere “likes” – for example articles on development (Comino) or scandals.
Recent surveys have shown that Labour is still on its downtrend trend, albeit pausing a bit the hemorrhage of voters here, but non-voters are only increasing showing quite clearly that Labour can be challenged with a renewed and united opposition not necessarily led by the Nationalist Party.
