This is what the Labour Party thinks of artists

Yesterday, in Parliament Labour Minister Anton Refalo jibed at Nationalist MP Julie Zahra by inviting her to sing at his house It’s the equivalent of jibing and humiliating a waiter while dining at a restaurant, or any other worker for that matter. “Come and do this for me, you inferior being and my servant”. This is neither the first time that Julie Zahra was ridiculed by Labour MPs for being an artist.

On a broader political level, the Labour Party thinks of artists as appendages to its agenda, or rather just a collective of servants who are used for patronage with the expectation of political ingratiation.

We are ruled by thugs.
