Some people love being deluded

Today, the Times of Malta Editorial wrote:

Much depends on Prime Minister Robert Abela to turn the web of corruption he inherited into a web of hope, even if that means a widespread changing of the guards.

Why do some people who supposedly know better keep hoping that Robert Abela will address the collapse of rule of law? He is part of the cause of the collapse, he is not going to do anything. He has told you repeatedly and explicitly that he does not care.

Since the publication of the public inquiry on the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia, the government did nothing other than continue its fraud, corruption and cover-ups.

Why do you hope something will change when the Prime Minister is telling you explicitly and openly that nothing is going to change? It’s just more fraud and corruption and they don’t care. They can’t make it even more clear.
