France and Germany have both announced they will start nationalizing energy companies due to the energy emergency.
Meanwhile, in Malta, Enemalta is technically broke and survives on government subsidies while Shanghai Electric and Electrogas who got their government contracts through corruption are still raking in a profit. Miriam Dalli has refused to divulge any details about Malta’s energy situation, policy and energy purchasing price.
Remember that when Robert Abela is telling you that he is capping the cost of living through energy subsidies he is doing so through lots of government while simultaneously spending more through existing corrupt contracts and blatant fraud and incompetence. He is banking on the idea that he can make two terms in office with this type of fraudulent behavior and then hand over the huge debt he is accumulating to his successor. The effects of the wreckage today will be felt for years to come.
