
On the day that Turkey, Finland and Sweden signed an agreement together which condemned Kurdish militants, Turkey bombed the outskirts of Aleppo. Turkey is currently conducting a piecemeal invasion of Northern Syria in collaboration with Russia. Turkey is the only NATO member which is cooperating with the Russian military.
In order for Turkey to accept Sweden and Finland into NATO, Sweden and Finland had to sign an agreement with Turkey declaring they won’t be supporting the Kurdish defense forces, the YPG.
The YPG is the Kurdish militant force which fought and defeated ISIS in Northern Syria and currently administers the Northern Syria region against Turkey’s wishes.
Europe can’t stop appeasing dictators even after their friend Putin betrayed them and threatened to nuke them. Europe seems to enjoy being in abusive relationships.
