The Labour Party loves accusing the Nationalist Party of collective amnesia, only to refuse to live up to its own standards. The hypocrisy has never been so glaring with Robert Abela who made a career out of rent-seeking. There was a time when the Abela family took as many cases against the Labour Party as possible, including cases against the General Workers’ Union. They were of course never driven by ideals, but purely out of opportunistic interest while buying their silence with lucrative contracts from the Planning Authority. This is just one of the cases the Abela family took back then when we were rooting to flip the Nationalists from power.
